How to set Safe Senders in Outlook

Here are simple, user-friendly steps to mark an email sender as safe** across all Outlook versions** your users are likely to use.


✅ Outlook Classic (Desktop – Windows)

Best for traditional Outlook app

Method 1: From an email (quickest)

  1. Open the email from the sender
  2. Click Junk (top ribbon)
  3. Select Never Block Sender

✅ The email address is now trusted.


Method 2: Add manually

  1. Go to Home tab
  2. Click Junk → Junk E-mail Options
  3. Select Safe Senders tab
  4. Click Add
  5. Enter the email address or domain (e.g. example.com)
  6. Click OK

From an email

  1. Open the email
  2. Click the three dots (…) in the toolbar
  3. Select Block → Never Block Sender

  5. Press Enter, then Save
